Idea: Mobile app that displaces loyalty punch cards. Customer app generates QR code on load that vendor app scans. Similar to that AMEX / Foursquare experiment that checked for near-simultaneous credit card use and checkins at the same venue. Would be a sweet Foursquare feature… especially if Foursquare was linked to a credit or debit account. Maybe one flavor of mobile payment.
